@hipsterelectron no no, the original is fantastic because it isn't cynical in my mind, it's just a threat. you're just saying, we're at war because of you. You don't identify as a threat, but you do explicitly identify not paying you as a threat, which is a hair's breadth away. It's an elegant taunt that really has no bearing on identity, just a universal intent that can't be attributed strictly to you.

@hipsterelectron you're learning fast. also it's good to see you doing another long thread. every time you don't do it I feel like there's probably crying and spaghetti involved. it's transparently because I only have one-hot semantic tags on you so far due to the internet being in the way but when you stop popping off I straightaway imagine things must be hard. you should just cave and realize all the semantic notions you're using like "operating system" and "package manager" are cult terminology that is pretty much as old as the complete encirclement of computers by those that would try to go from tracing identities to tracing paths of actors with them in the 80s and 90s. you have to keep deprogramming. you have to ask, without resorting to the nihilist denial of power in itself, what state, qua, a structure, do I want? email and signal still open 🙏

Privately, and I do *not* need y'all spreadin' this all over, by 507ce the western roman empire was quite over.

The two closest things to a western roman emperor were Odoacer and Theoderic. And they were *very* close to being that, a fact they both were rather well aware of, drawing mightily on the trappings of Roman imperial history. Further, they even both sustained the people of "Rome", tho mostly from the loving distance of Ravenna.

However, neither of them were de jure.

GRUB bundles a support library for its `grub-install` command, including:

* Check a for filepath separator, handling Windows specially.

* Carefully create a directory & any parents if necessary.
